It was very convenient to everything that Charleston has to offer. We enjoyed the two levels and sitting outside in the evening overlooking the market.
Great location (loved the French quarter), gracious facility, and fantastic value, especially when you throw in the fact that the "room" was essentially a one-bedroom apartment.
The bed was way too high.
Location was so handy.
The only negative would have been at any hotel in that area and that is the noise of pick up trash trucks at 3:00 to 4:00 in the morning! Woke me up both nights and couldn't go back to sleep. Need to get the city to come at a later time in the morning.
quaint. location. staff was awesome, extremely helpful
the room our friends stayed in had a horrible smell. he asked them to fix it and it never was. I think it was a mold type smell.
The location, the staff. the price for the area
the bed was uncomfortable for a person with a bad back.
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely!!! Had an upstairs with 2 big double beds and the downstairs was a lounge (with a sofa bed). Also a very comprehensive kitchen. Was totally happy with our stay there. A shame it was only 1 night. Location was excellent as well.
As it was a city centre hotel, there was no free parking. That is my only complaint. Loved the hotel.
Lovely hotel, the location, staff and rooms made our stay even better. They are presently remodeling rooms, I will certainly be returning after they are finished! I expect it will be great!
Good location right in the middle of the action. Acces to tens of good restaurants and bars. Short drive to naval museum and Foley Beach( a must GO). Friendly staff and very good valet parking service. We will stay again next time.
The location and the ability to book a one night stay on a weekend.
Beds were smaller than standard. We were initially booked into a room with two twins. We asked to be moved to a one bed room. That room had something slightly smaller than a queen (a full?). There was space in the room for a queen. I don't understand why they used these weird sized beds.
It is a great location. You can walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Compared to other small inns in the area is is priced very reasonable. You have a nice little kitchenette, so you can have some food and drinks in your room.
They are still doing some remodel work there.
Told to get my own car after making arrangements with staff (the night before) to get car out of valet prior to 8:00 am. When my wife and I went to counter I was given the key and told where parking garage was located. I was still charged for valet for the day.
Noise from guests and cleaning staff in the hallway.
As you can tell by my scores, everything was fine. Unfortunately, one small incident, below, really bothered our group.
The only thing that bothered me, is when I asked the person who checked us in, what he would say is the local's favorite spot to eat. He gave me a coupon and said this is where everyone goes. When I got there, the food was ok, but the place was empty. I asked the waitress if this was a slow time of day, and she mentioned... "They had only been open a month, nobody knows about them yet" That is fine, if he was truthful and told us about a "new place"... .. but really, that is the "locals favorite spot to eat"? Or, does he get a kickback from that restuarant...? Please let your front desk people know... Service matters most. coming from out of town, we are putting our trust in the Service.
Lugging suitcases up and down stairs within the suite. Terrible old TV in bedroom. Had to pay to park and didn't have immediate access to vehicle while it was parked.
Sofa bed extremely uncomfortable Beds were never made and apartment was never vacuumed during our stay, services which are provided even in the cheapest hotels
