We had a wonderful experience exploring the nearby Children's Museum of the Lowcountry with our grandkids. They were fascinated, and the hotel staff recommended some great family-friendly activities during our stay. Plus, the courtyard view from our room added a nice touch of tranquility after our adventures.
My children wanted more kid-friendly dining options on-site.

Having a great location is one thing, but the staff truly elevated the experience with their genuine friendliness. Although there were issues with drainage in the shower and some wear on the downstairs floor, these didn't overshadow an overall enjoyable stay.

great location but minor comfort issues
The spacious one-bedroom suite provided ample room for our group, making it ideal for our getaway. Each morning, we enjoyed our complimentary coffee in the lovely courtyard, which had a relaxing atmosphere. The staff stood out. they were friendly and always eager to share local recommendations that truly elevated our experience.
The beds were comfortable, but the pillows could use some improvement for better neck support.

our stay at church street inn, ascend hotel collection, was fantastic! tyrone at the front desk was super helpful and made us feel welcomed. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the city market. the room was spacious and fully stocked, allowing for a comfortable stay with friends.
A minor critique would be the smell of new flooring. it was a bit overwhelming at first.

The two-level room provided excellent separation of spaces, particularly with the extra half bath on the first floor. Quiet views of a charming courtyard enhanced our stay, while the comfortable beds made for restful nights. Friendly staff offered great recommendations and the location was unbeatable, with the bustling market just steps away. Access to a kitchen was a nice touch for morning coffee, though daily cleaning wasn't provided, which suited us just fine.

The Church Street Inn is perfectly located. Just steps from the City Market, everything in downtown Charleston felt walkable. The room had plenty of space over two floors, offering a nice home-like feel. The kitchen was stocked, allowing us to prepare our meals. The friendly staff made us feel welcome right from the start. However, the carpets in the halls showed signs of wear, and some upkeep was needed, like a few towel racks being loose. The stairway to our bedroom was quite steep, making it a bit challenging to carry our bags up. We also experienced issues with a lack of thorough cleaning during our stay. Despite requesting service, we had to wait too long for basic supplies like towels. The minor odor upon entry was an unwelcome surprise, taking a moment to air out. Overall, enjoying meals in our suite while being steps from Charleston's charm made for a great stay but I hope they will address these concerns for future guests.
